This past week, I was given a very generous offer to help raise so money for the playground being built in honor of Isaac at our church. Please read the letter below, and if you feel inclined to participate, you are welcome to do so.
Dear Stacy,
I want to let you know how much your story has changed our faith. The story of sweet little Isaac has touched the lives of many and it is NOW that I am wanting to give back. Since getting to know your family better, I truly understand how blessed any child would be to enter into your family. You are a wonderful mother with such a kind heart! I feel that your attitude, determination, and dedication to being a parent will benefit other children in days to come. We are praying every day that it is sooner rather than later! Sweet little Isaac is just precious! I know that with all of us working together, we will build a playground that any child could only dream of.

ReplyDeleteLife does look bleak when having to face it without Isaac with you. All I can say is hold on to your faith, and I pray that you will feel Isaac's presence with you daily. Although you can no longer take care of him on this earth, he is taking care of you and Spencer from heaven. Isaac is your direct line to God, and will be watching over his family until every last member is safe and sound in heaven with him. It has been 8 months since our son Luke went home to Jesus, and I want to give you hope that life will rearrange itself, and it will get easier to get out of bed in the morning. A mother who lost her son when he was 5 years old told me that we should be joyful that we have children in heaven. It's the ones on earth that parents have to worry so much about. We both now have sons in heaven who have reached the ultimate goal and are safe and sound. What more could a parent want for their child? The pain still feels so fresh for me, and hearing your story just rips my heart apart. If words could wrap you in a hug, that would be my intent.

What a great idea....I'm speechless at the timing of this in my and Jim's life. I certainly couldn't have anticipated this need for meals to my door, but here it is. And a solution to benefit Isaac is a wonderful answer. Love you, girl.
