Slideshow (and a blog makeover!)

First off, many thanks to Danille from Blogs by Danielle for the BEAUTIFUL job making over my blog. Thank you so much for sharing your talent and gift with me.

We are also blessed by the talented work of Bill Millios, a photographer with the Now I Lay Me Down to Sleep Foundation who not only took gorgeous pictures for us, but also put together this slideshow for us to show at Isaac's memorial service yesterday. And we are blessed by the talented work of Selah, and by the Smith's generosity in getting us the "boy" version of "I Will Carry You" for Bill to use. You will want to pause the music at the bottom as you watch and listen. We hope you enjoy these additional glimpses of our sweet Isaac...

"I Will Carry You"

There were photographs I wanted to take
Things I wanted to show you
Sing sweet lullabies, wipe your teary eyes
Who could love you like this?

People say that I am brave but I'm not
Truth is I'm barely hanging on
But there's a greater story
Written long before me
Because He loves you like this

So I will carry you
While your heart beats here
Long beyond the empty cradle
Through the coming years
I will carry you
All my life
And I will praise the One Who's chosen me
To carry you

Such a short time
Such a long road
All this madness
But I know
That the silence
Has brought me to His voice
And He says...

I've shown him photographs of time beginning
Walked him through the parted seas
Angel lullabies, no more teary eyes
Who could love him like this?

I will carry you
While your heart beats here
Long beyond the empty cradle
Through the coming years
I will carry you
All your life
And I will praise the One
Who's chosen Me
To carry you

  6. This is amazing. Your blog is such a tribute. Danielle sure has a gift!

Thanks for sharing your son with us. I have let go so many of my "wishes" and "what-ifs" from Emma's delivery and the time with her after, but I really do wish someone had told us about NILMDTS.

Eight years ago...who knows if they were even available in my area. Anyway, the one picture I do have of her is posted on my Show and Tell today. Thanks again for being so open with your grief.

  64. Stacy,
I have been following your story ever since I became a member of the Pregnancy Loss board on the nest. Your story has truly touched me. I was so excited when going through your blog that you purchased Isaac's adorable blue outfit in Annapolis (my hometown). The fact that you are in MD and so nearby made me many times want to reach out and offer a complete stranger a hug and a shoulder to cry on (but I am sure you have many).

Thank you for sharing your story, precious pictures of sweet baby Isaac and keeping in touch with your readers during this time. I believe your story helps us all somehow.

  66. Stacy,
You, your husband, and sweet Isaac have changed the way I live my life. There have only been a handful of times in my life that have been so powerful, so inspiring, so touching and so heartbreaking that it touched my soul. Your story has done that. You amaze me in that, not only have you kept your faith and your strength throughout this experience, you are also able to (so beautifully) share it with the world. I'm not sure you'll ever know how many people you have touched...how many other lives you have changed.
Please know that I am thinking of you, sweet Issac, and your family every day. You are in my prayers.

  67. Stacy and Spencer,
Thanks so much for sharing sweet Issac with everyone. I wanted to share with you something. At church on Sunday we sang " Be unto your name" . All i could think about was your sweet son.

    We are a moment,
    You are forever.
    Lord of the ages
    God before time

    We are a vapor,
    You are Eternal
    Love everlasting
    Reigning on high

    Lord you are holy, holy
    Lord God Almighty
So worthy is the Lamb who was slain
Let the highest praises, honor and glory
    Be unto Your name
    Be unto Your name

    We are the broken
    You are the Healer
    Jesus, Redeemer,
    Mighty to save

    You are the love song
    We'll sing forever
    Bowing before You
    Blessing Your name.

    For you are holy, holy
    Lord God Almighty
So worthy is the Lamb who was slain
Let the highest praises, honor and glory
    Be unto Your name
    Be unto Your name

    Holy, holy Lord God Almighty
So worthy is the Lamb who was slain
Let the highest praises, honor and glory
    Be unto Your name
    Be unto Your name
    Be unto Your name
    Be unto Your name

I pray that these words find you some peace in knowing that one day again you will see your sweet baby, he is held in the arms of Jesus now! He has a heavenly body and is waiting for his mommy and daddy to come one day! We continue to pray for your family!

  69. Stacy & Spencer,
I was captivated by your story and read your blogs from April to present last night till 2am and this morning. I just wanted to thank your family and sweet little Isaac for your powerful testimony and example of God's greatness and love. Sweet Isaac was truly blessed to have such an incredible mommy who was so reliant and trusting in our Great God. Your faith and love for our heavenly Father surely flowed to little Isaac in the womb and in his short time on this earth. What could be a more beautiful gift for a child than the love of a mommy who loves God so much! Sweet Isaac truly touched my life, but I can truly say, you Stacy, and your strength, faith, and true love of God has changed my life and touched me dearly. Thank you. Your family is in my prayers!

Praying for you and your family, courage to press on and face tomorrow.

  71. Oh, what a gorgeous testimony of your love for precious little Isaac, but also of your trust in our Father. Your story has touched so many people, and Isaac will never be forgotten.

Even after all the meals, flowers, cards and visitors have ceased, don't forget that your heavenly Father is catching each and every one of your tears in a jar. They are a form of worship to Him, and He will comfort the broken hearted.

Hang in there. We are praying.
