In the words of Annie,

Tomorrow, tomorrow!
I love ya, tomorrow!
You're only a day away!

Today, Spencer and I are both off of work attending to last minute details like pre-op bloodwork, making sure our house is clean and in order, relaxing spa treatments (no, I am not kidding!), and a nice dinner out together. And yes, there are some baby-related tasks thrown in there as well, but we really wanted a day to rest and relax together before welcoming our baby girl.

We would love it if you would please read over the prayers of the last several days and just pray them again through the course of the day today.

I will (try to) update before heading to the hospital tomorrow morning. My sister, Kate, will be guest blogging from the waiting room as well.

I am truly humbled by the fact that about 800 of you follow this blog, have gotten to "meet" Isaac and bear witness to the story that God has been writing in our lives. I am honored that you would take the time to pray for someone whom, for many of you, have never met. And I can't wait to share the next chapter of the story that God is writing as we welcome Eliana tomorrow!

  27. I hope you have a great day today getting ready. Make sure you eat something yummy tonight, since you know it will be a little while before you can eat something again! When I Was waiting for my 2nd little one to arrive (not scheduled), I ate every meal like it was going to be my last in the few days before my due date. I was so glad I did, cause I ended up with a c-section and couldn't eat for a while. Have a great day! I can't wait to see some pictures tomorrow!

  72. I've been following your blog since stumbling across it after going through a miscarriage earlier this year. I have been encouraged by your journey, reading your dialoge really put my own situation into perspective and opened my eyes to seeing what God is leading our family through. Ironically, I'm due to have our second baby on Friday so it has been fun following you now in pregnancy as well. May God bless you, your husband and baby... and so carefully guide all of the hospital staff through their interactions with you.

  73. Stacy, in only a few hours you and Spencer will meet your Eliana. I am so happy for you and pray that all will go beautifully. I remember a post you made a year or so ago, "Do You Trust Me?"...one of the most touching you've ever written. You've trusted our Lord through all these days since you lost sweet Isaac. Thank you for your witness. May tomorrow be full of great joy. Can't wait for the pictures!!!

  74. I am so excited for you and Spencer. I will never forget the feeling of holding my son after we had lost his brother 18 months prior. It was such a rush of emotions. I am eager to continue to read as you add this new chapter.

  76. We are praying hard here in Michigan for you, Spencer and Eliana. We can't wait to "meet" her, and to share in your family's joy, if even through a blog. Isaac will be with you every step of the way tomorrow as you welcome his baby sister into the world. Embrace the joy and sadness together tomorrow. You will experience a new dimension of joy tomorrow, that I believe can only be felt after you have experienced the sorrow you have. God is great like that!

We can't wait to see which characteristics Eliana shares with her big brother! Many many hugs!!!

  77. How exciting that the big day is finally upon you! I'm sure everything will go just fine- you'll be in good hands and surrounded by people who love you. It must be strange to think that when you go home with Eliana, she will be older than Isaac ever was or will be. The 'big brother/little sister' relationship doen't even apply after her birth. I guess the nomenclature becomes 'infant brother' at that point. That will make her place in the family extra special I'm sure. God bless your day tomorrow and best wishes for an easy birth and recovery!
