Joy...

Christmas day was a bit hectic with lots of running around a family to visit. Our day started like it has the past three Christmases... with a trip to the cemetery. It's a strange thing to begin Christmas there. I am not sure that I will ever get used to that; yet at the same time, it wouldn't feel right to NOT be there. We made the Baltimore "circuit" after that, with stops at my Mom's, my Dad's, and my aunt's house with all of my extended family (aunts, uncles, cousins...) on my Dad's side of the family. We were supposed to head up to Manhattan for a few days to visit Spencer's family, but decided against driving right into a blizzard and inches upon inches of snow. Enjoy taking a look at Eliana's first Christmas!!

I pray that your Christmas was filled with unspeakable joy as you celebrated the birth of Jesus, the One whose presence was the greatest gift of all!

You are so inspirational and wonderful. Unfornatnely my Christmas was not filled with joy this year. We lost our newborn baby girl at 5 weeks unexpectedly due to congential heart defects. Our lives have turned upside down and in all directions. I started a blog a long time ago when we first found out our son Sean suffered an in utero stroke he is now a happy and healthy almost 5 year old. But now as I am reaching out and trying to heal emotional, mentally, and physically I decided to start a new blog in Kiera our sweet baby girl a new blog. I just had a few questions on how you got through everything with not being mad at the world. I know our situations are a little bit different but no one should ever have to go through what either one of has gone through it just isn't fair. Please email me when you get a chance at shegrewwings at hotmail.com. Thank you so much and I have followed your blog for a long time no and it really is helping me as we speak. Again I am so sorry for your loss and wanted to say your daughter is beautiful!

I cannot believe how big she is now! In the picture where she is reading in her chair, she looks like a little girl, not a baby!!! Must be all that hair! :)

Stacy, I happened upon your blog from "Hesses Madhouse". My heart goes out when I read someone who has lost a child and I'm sorry to hear that this, too, was your case. Seeing your daughter opening up her gift is a treasure. And I must say she is one of the most beautiful girls I have ever seen! Thanks for letting me stop by and leave an imprint on your blog. BTW, my brother lives back east in Connecticut. Sounds like he is digging out along with you. God bless.
