Tuesday Morning

This will be short... it's early, and we need to leave for the hospital shortly.

I just wanted to tell you that Spencer and I are humbled when we saw the number of people who left us a comment last night. We so deeply appreciate your encouragement and your prayers.

My friend Kirsten will be updating throughout the day today.

Thank you again for continuing to pray...

~ Stacy

I will be praying for you today - as I have stopped to think of you and pray for you often over the past couple weeks since I stumbled over your blog.

    Romans 12:12 comes to mind...
'Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer.'

I pray God WILL take this cup from you .... but stand in awe of his awesomeness and pray that His Will be done!

  84. Stacy, for some reason, Daniel 3 has been on my heart for you. Especially the part where the three boys respond "If we are thrown into the blazing furnace, the God we serve is able to save us from it, and he will rescue us from your hand, O king. But even if he does not, we want you to know, O king, that we will not serve your gods or worship the image of gold you have set up."

While the golden image may not be in context, the words "is able to save us" and "But even if he does not" stood out so clearly. Their faith was unmeasurable. They knew what they were walking into. They knew that God could save them. But they also knew within themselves that even if He did not, they knew what was the right thing to do, and they would praise and honour Him till the end.

Stacy, by allowing Isaac his life, you have walked towards the furnace. You know God can save. You also know He may not. Your faith has never waivered. You kept walking what you knew to be right.

How I pray that today there is an angel in the furnace with you keeping you from the fire. I pray Jesus Himself will be there to keep you safe. I pray the Lord God will save Isaac. Yet even if he does not heal him this side of heaven, I will join with you to praise His Name.

As I wrote to Isaac, God is able. He remains faithful. We still pray in faith.
