Well, almost. We still need to install the safety fence, add some lovely shrubs, and plant some pretty flowers at the base of the memorial sign. But otherwise, Isaac's Playground is finished!
On the first Saturday this month, several men went out to the playground site and prepped the ground by digging lots of very deep holes. This past Saturday, over 25 people including family, friends, and folks from church came out in nearly 100 degree temperatures and worked tirelessly to install the playground. And it looks amazing!
We are so thankful for the kindness of numerous people who gave so generously of their time, talent, and treasure to make this happen. We are in awe of the fact that what started out as a vision nearly three years ago has finally taken shape. God's provision has been amazing. And while we would much rather have Isaac with here with us, we are grateful for the opportunity to remember him, to allow his life to continue to do good, and to glorify God in the process.
So to those of you who in some way helped this playground come to fruition... THANK YOU! Though, truly, those two simple words don't feel like nearly enough.
Enjoy the pictures...

I can't seem to find the words to describe how seeing these pictures makes me feel. It has just been such a journey -- some days, it seems like yesterday that the email from Kirsten showed up in my work inbox with Isaac's birth stats, and other days, like with looking at these pictures, it feels like a lifetime...
SO happy for you and Spencer and Ellie, Stacy, that you have this to look at each time to gather to worship and serve. Love. It.
I'm so happy this wonderful memorial has come to fruition! The sign is beautiful.
It looks great, my Mom was talking about how nice it is. So exciting to see it finally finished!
OH Stacy!! How exciting! It looks wonderful!!
So happy to hear that it has been built and finished. I can't even imagine how it must feel to have a place that is solely dedicated to your Isaac.
Can't wait to see it in person one of these days.
Hope all is well.

Remembering Isaac...
This is so great!!! It makes me happy to see this happening.
I don't check blogs much these days- just don't have time... but I happened to check tonight and I'm so glad I did! I remember sending in a donation to your church a few years ago - and wow- how great to see the finished product, and know that your sweet boy will always be remembered by families who enjoy themselves on that playground!! What a wonderful way to remember him!!!
I have tears in my eyes finally seeing the playground. What a wonderful and beautiful memorial.
I just came across your blog on another friend's blog - but last night I had seen it on google when I was searching for something else as well. I figured God was trying to lead me and I should follow, so I clicked on it. As I just read a little of your blog, I was blown away by some of the similarities we have... my name is Stacy, we're the same age, I have the same verse on my blog, we just finished a memorial playground for our daughter Rachel on Mother's day...among others. Thank you for sharing Isaac with all of us and for the way you are glorifying God with his life and death.
love, Stacy
