1 Month/4 Weeks/28 Days

I can't figure out which title I like better, so I left all three :)

As we ticked days off the calendar in anticipation of Isaac's arrival, I just hated it. As the numbers decreased, I knew my time with Isaac was lessening. It was hard to go from counting the months I had left with him, to the weeks, to the days, and then to the hours. Even then, I was still full of hope with what God could still do; but the reality of what was likely had set in so deeply. It is a heart-wrenching thing to countdown the days you have left with your child.

This time, though, it feels so much different. I am excited to tick days off the calendar, and the fact that in one more calendar flip Eliana will be here just blows my mind. This pregnancy has really flown by.

So from today... it's one month... four weeks... twenty-eight days... until we get to meet our daughter! As I type this she both has the hiccups and is wiggling away; and I can't help but wonder if she will have as many hiccup as much on the outside as she does on the inside!

God has faithfully continued to guard our hearts against too much fear and anxiety, and instead, has been filling us both with great joy. We are grateful...

I am so happy and excited for you to be so close to welcoming your daughter!

My daughter had the hiccups constantly when I was pregnant... and did have them constantly the first three months of her life. They have finally slowed down now as she is approaching 6 months!

the answer is yes, the hiccups come just as often when they are in your arms. I thought my Anna would hiccup her way to her first birthday...counting the days with you.

I am so happy for you and I am glad it is going so fast. My daughter Alex who si almost 3 and my little girl I am carring now always have the hiccups.. Good thing they don't hurt them like they annoy us when we adults get them. I remember Alex getting them for awhile when she was born and I just felt so bad!

I like 28 days :)

Yayy this is so full of joy. I am excited for you. It is right around the corner. :)

I'm not sure about the hiccups thing. Jackson never had them on the inside but, had them all the time on the outside. Still does. It will be fun to see if she does.

Oh I am so excited for you! My son had the hiccups constantly in my belly and constantly after he was born. He was also always awake at night in my belly, moving like crazy at 2am...and when he was born he was always wide awake and allert at 2am! It was just too funny in an exhausting sort of way.

My son was a hiccuper, too. It was always about 5 p.m. but provided gave a predictable time and place on my tummy for those who wanted to "feel the baby move."

One of the silliest/ most ignorant/ hilarious things I ever heard was a comment by a brand new mom I met years ago. She was dismayed that her little one was always wakeful late at night. I asked her what her schedule was like when she was pregnant and she replied that she'd worked the night shift. I said "Well, maybe the baby is used to you being up at that time." She wailed "Oh NO!!! I had that job for THREE YEARS!" (I guess she thought her ovaries had a late night schedule!)

I'm so happy that you're counting down the days with joyful anticipation and greater peace. Rest well!

But You, O LORD, are a shield for me, my glory and the One who lifts up my head.

I cried to the LORD with my voice, and He heard me from His holy hill. Selah

I lay down and slept; I awoke, for the LORD sustained me. Ps. 3: 3-5
