Cardboard Testimonies

With having had over 30 inches of snow dropped on us the past two days, I've had a lot of time to catch up on some blog reading. I came across this video that Kelly posted on her blog and was incredibly touched by it. Stories of so many people whose lives have been broken by addiction, loss, a poor diagnosis, or feelings of insignificance...and whom God so faithfully restored.

I think if I were to write mine it might say something like this...

Lost my son Isaac in 2008 shortly after birth... God continues to faithfully meet us in our pain and restore our joy.

What's your cardboard testimony?

We did cardboard testimonies at our church. Adam & I got up there to share Kayleigh with everyone. At the time, we thought she would be coming home soon. God had a different plan. Kayleigh went to Heaven on 5/11/09. Our faith has never been stronger.

We did this at my church also. Our testimony: we were told we that we would never be able to have a baby due to infertility. Due to God's love, the miracle of adoption, and many prayers we are now the parents of a beautiful 2 year old little boy.

Our church did this about a month after we lost tatum- another woman and her husband carried their sign "Daughter stillborn" they flipped it to say "We'll hold her in heaven." WOW!! I was bawling!!! I think I would say-- Lost our baby- Are even more thankful for our second. or something to that effect- it is an awesome thing to see and really cool in your home church- you would be amazed at what some people have gone through that you go to church with every sunday!

Our firstborn died after 6 days . . . God gave us the faith to have our second baby, Faith.

Mine would be:
Lost my twin girls Ellie and Aubrey 7 and 13 days after birth. God has been patient with me, comforting me through my sorrow and faithfully restoring the joy I thought was lost forever.

Some may feel squeamish about eating it, but rabbit has a fan base that grows as cooks discover how easy they are to raise — and how good the meat tastes.
